Recipe for bollitos pelones

Hello friends this time I will explain how to make bollitos pelones, a recipe very rich and popular in my country Venezuela.

Bollitos pelones are masses of corn flour stuffed with ground meat and bathed in tomato sauce. It sounds simple and it is, everything is in the season, and of course, they can fill them with what they like either chicken or meat.

My family traditionally prepares you in three steps:

Make tomato sauce, with tomato, onion, garlic, pepper and condiments of your choice .. Just blend it all together and at the same time.

Make arepa dough, with classic corn flour.

Prepare stewed ground beef. 500 gr of meat, onion, paprika, seasoning and salt to taste.

Then I explain how to prepare or form the buns (I received help from my father hehe)

You make medium balls with the mass

With your thumb you make a hole in the middle and from there you go molding until you achieve a deep dish. Once ready, place in the middle the amount of meat of your preference .. calculating that they can be closed.

Finally we close it, and give it the shape of a bun and place in a pot with boiling water until the dough is ready.
