Cooking with Goldrooster - hutspot

I have something simple but delicious for you tonight especially for those in snowy and cold conditions. And that is exactly what the guy above likes and if not F... him.

HUTSPOT (also known as hotsput in English). A "next day better" dish.

Ingredients 2 persons for two times :
1 part Winter carrots (say 750 gramm is two carrots) (never use small carrots as they do not make a mash)
1 part potatoes (crumly) (say 780 before cleaning)
1/2 part large onions in rings

Hardware:
A "stamper" and a pan with thick bottom (yes go ahead laugh)


Next is to cut the carrots in small pieces and the potatoes in wedges or alike and slice the onions in rings or better half rings.

The pan is filled with a bottom of water (should not cook dry so check) ; potatoes, wintercarrots onions and some salt and pepper. I made a drawing !

Bring to cook and turn low and leave for 40 minutes and check water two times. If the potatoes are soft the carrots will be too so time to STAMP the whole dish. Do this on a table with a kitchen towel under the pan.

The dish will look like this and is served with gravey and a meatball although some prefer other meat like porc or worst/wurst/saucage.
