COOKING LESSON NO. 2, LET'S COOK "JAPCHAE NOODLES" A POPULAR KOREAN DISH
Hello there!, Here I am again @markjason for another #cooking-lesson recipe, and for our today's recipe I will show to you how to make a popular korean noodle dish called JAPCHAE
So Let's Do This!
Let's cook Japchae
let's make the Japchae sauce first because we will use it for marinating the beef and for seasoning our japchae noodles..
SAUCE INGRIDIENTS
soy sauce 6 spoon
chopped garlic 1 teaspoon
sugar 40 grams
pepper 1/2 teaspoon
sesame oil 2 spoon
beef powder 1/2 teaspoon
sesame seed 1 spoon (optional)
Water 1/4 cup
Sauce procedure
• It is very easy to make the japchae sauce you only need the exact ingridients then mix the ingritients together until the sugar dissolves.
and that's all for the sauce
Now let's cook the Japchae Noodles
Glass noodles(sweet potato starch noodles) 200 grams ( this noodles needs to boiled for 7 mins or soaked in water for more than 3 hours before cooking)
Japchae sauce
Buchu
onion
beef 200 grams (marinated on the japchae sauce we made before)
chopped garlic
cabbage
fried scrambled egg (thin sliced)
fish cake/odeng
MSG (optional)
I dinn't put the exact amount of vegetables in the ingridients because, it is up to you on the amount of vegetables you want to put, it depends on what you want, you can also add other vegetables and mushrooms..
PROCEDURE
First, preheat the pan(medium heat) then put 1 spoon of cooking oil then put the marinated beef(don't remove the sauce) and fry for 1 minute until the meat get cooked.
then after cooking the marinated beef put all the vegetable ingridients and keep on mixing it for 1 minute until the vegetables are half cooked..
then put the noodles in the pan then add 3 spoon of japchae sauce and then mix it for 1minute until the noodles gets half cooked..
then for the last part, put all the remaining ingridients, put the thin sliced scrambled egg and the fish cake(odeng) and you can add more japchae sauce depending on the taste you want and cook for not more than 1 minute... then it's done and ready to be serve..
Yey! It's done looks yummy right?
Most people will like the taste of this food (based on my experience), unlike many korean dish Japchae is not hot or spicy, The taste of japchae is sweet and a little salty this is the taste that most of the people like (including me) and I think maybe your kids will like the taste of japchae.. So it is not bad to try cooking Japchae. Hehe
How did I know how to cook japchae?
I'm working in a filipino-korean restaurant in the Philippines that's why I knew how to cook some korean dishes..
This is my own version of japchae so maybe the ingridients and procedure is little different from other recipe and besides I make my version more easier to cook and I only use ingridients which is not hard to find and budget friendly..
