RE: Why Anarchists Should Join the Convention of States
I am on the board of a non-profit in Austin, TX (cg4tx.org) and we just hosted a panel on 5/6/17 concerning government preemption. Sandy Levinson was on the panel (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanford_Levinson) and was also eager to see an Article V convention take place. I think it would be healthy to see the convention in action and at the very least debate the modernity of our behavior and publicly enforced federal system. I would be a big fan of dismantling Citizens United and the Electoral College but who knows what would even be possible of being approved by the necessary amount of states.
This is the problem with dismantling the electoral college - one it was put in place because it was impossible at the time due to travel speeds. That could happen again that travel was impossible. Two - the electoral college is actually a check and balance against the election of someone evil. There are many more reasons for the electoral college such as war where we are losing.
Nevertheless, your voices should be heard and I know, since I lived it here, what pioneering or settling life should be like. It is hard as hell to build a place for yourself in the wilderness with hand tools. At least we have roads here. I do not think that it really is much different in the cities and I have lived in them and suburbia. One must carve out one's place in order to be a free individual.
So, your voices are welcome. It is the correct path to take and thanks for your comment my friend @coronacoffeeco.
Yes, things in Texas have changed a bit much since the Alamo
