Writing class is going on vacation, but that gives you a chance to win SBI shares!
My writing classes for the next three Sundays are cancelled. The dates are: 5/13, 5/20, 5/27
Why?
@dynamicgreentk told me I can take a vacation!
Seriously though, my daughter is at university in London and she's injured her wrist. She can't take care of her packing, cleaning and moving on her own so I'm going to the rescue! This little side trip (to another continent across a very big pond) combined with my other work means I need to take a break from the class until I get back and have time to recoup.
Here she is on a happier day before she injured herself. The background is the inside of a double decker bus.
Don't fret though, I'm still going to be online. I just can't commit to specific times.
That also means...
Time for a contest!
Over the next three weeks think of questions or topics that you want me to cover. Then comment on this post with your ideas and questions.
Since posts time out after 7 days, each week I'll post an updated list of questions I've received so far and you can add more to the list in the comments of that post.
Then for Sunday, June 3rd's class, I'll pick some of the questions and topics. If I pick yours you'll get 1 SBI share!
How easy is that?
If you don't know how awesome SBI shares are, read this post:

In the meantime keep writing
I've just done a crazy thing. I signed up for the Freewrite 200 Day Party Contest!
@mariannewest runs the daily 5-minute Freewrites and I've had a blast writing them. It's simple and only takes 5 minutes!
These are great little prompts that you can use to make daily posts and leave you with no excuse for not posting. Plus it helps you stretch those creative muscles that can only improve your writing.
If you do any of the freewrites, let me know on Discord so I can check them out.
Thank you all for your support and I'm excited to see what we'll be talking about in our next class!
If you have any questions about this content, please let me know in the comments. Or better yet, click the banner to join my channel on Dynamic Steemians' Discord!

This writing class sounds interesting. I just joined the freewrite contest, too, so we should be seeing each other around! I will check out some past posts to get a feel for your class and see if I have any new questions for you.
Great @eroticabian! I cover all kinds of topics mostly from a copywriting-get-it-done approach. Ask me anything though and I'll see if I can help.
Oh, I am so sorry to hear about your daughter!! On the other hand, you get to go to London!! and thank you so much for the shout out. We are going to have fun!!!
Maybe you can use "tower" or "palace" as prompts? Though I won't have much time for sightseeing, unfortunately, but my daughter is going to make sure I see all that I can in the time we have I think. ; )

Is your writing course only about fiction? If not, it would be nice to have a course about how you can write about data analysis without being too technical. I would call that "data analysis for dummies".
Hi @erikklok. Sorry for the late reply. My class isn’t about fiction but instead focuses on principles for good blogging. Check out some of the previous classes to see what I mean.
I have a technical background, and my job is writing online content for tech companies (mostly, I do others too). Part of that is making the writing interesting and not too technical or boring.
Who do you want to write the data analysis topics for would be my first question. It sounds like you are loooking to write for “dummies” so non-technical writing is important.
I’ll add this to the list of potential topics for a class, though I might generalize it a little. There are plenty of experts in their fields who have trouble writing for the lay person.
Great idea! If I pick your idea then I’ll tag you in the post that announces it. Thanks for posting a question!
Sorry about your daughter, hope she recovers soon
So basically we just post writing prompt ideas for you right here? Hmm if so one I've got is...
Baby elephants! The below organization helps orphan babies in particular and they have lots of stories, but i mostly link to them as inspiration, maybe orphan elephant babies taking mud baths together will trigger ideas
https://m.facebook.com/profile.php?id=120805694888&ref=content_filter
The actual prompt is imagine the life of an elephant keeper, their motivations and joys especially when an orphan graduates, goes into the wild... Then comes back to visit with their own baby!
Hi @motordrive. I wasn’t looking for writing prompts but rather questions you’d like to see to help you be a better writer here on Steemit, or anywhere actually.
For example @erikklok asked for ideas on how to write about a technical topic when the readers are non-technical.
Still I love baby elephants though! Thanks for sharing the video. If you have questions on writing just reply and let me know.
@ntowl I would like you to show me the tips to put catchy titles that invite reading.
Hi @thaishps. Thanks for the question. Here’s a link to the class where I covered the topic of headlines.

If you have more questions after reading that class let me know.
Thank you! I will do it.
