Artificial Intelligence Bots ate getting smarter and smarter every day. But Steem bots are not like that. They are usually dumb as rocks and very easy to identify. 😂

Hmm.. How to mask their 'automation'?

Posted using Partiko Android

That, I don't know. Have you played around with the crazy bots @automation, @banjo and @cleverbot?

They're funny sometimes. Other times they are plain rude and obnoxious. 😂😂😂

I think it might be a good idea to have a separate account for giveaways. Then someone could follow it only if they like that kind of thing. It's easy enough to make another account these days if you have enough RCs.

I have @kennybot for misc stuff like contests and maybe giveaways in the future. I just powered it up to Minnow so I'm ready to reward correct guessers again in Guess The Number posts once I decide to start that again.

I like the guess the number format, except that it limits entries based on when people are online. Any ideas how you could make one stay active for atleast 24 hours, but still have the too high or too low sort of hints, to keep it interactive?

Thanks for your thoughts 👍

I'm going to have it automatically post a new contest a few hours after the previous one finishes. This way every contest will be at a different time of day so people all over the world can participate!

Giveaways can't be termed as span at any level of automation. You have to automate if you wanna do it more often

Thanks for your thoughts 👍

I won't consider automated posts spam unless they post like more than 10 times a day haunting me instead. 😅

Thanks for your entry 👍

Automated giving away cards with no value and getting upvotes to earn more would be spam to me. I get doing this if you're trying to spread the game and make money but not if you are putting no effort like that. I would require that the gateway could let me set up a lot of scripts so that all post look good and be easy to edit and very secure.

What would you say, if for example, low value cards were given and voting wasn't required for the entry?

I feel like it depends. If every post is identical, spam, definitely. If a lot of the content is the same, but some key things are updated, then no. Especially if the creator is super active in commenting and responding.

Out of curiosity, would you enter such a giveaway (fully automated by a bot), if all that was required was to make a comment, such as guessing a number with alternating requirements?

Thanks for your response 👌

I would. It's not any different than entering a giveaway on some other website. I guess I would change my definition of spam, in that as long as it serves a beneficial purpose it's not really spam.

I've seen some posts on here that are all near identical, and appear to be simply to get tip or other bit upvotes. Those I have a problem with, but what you describe, I don't see any real issues with it.

A little lit of automaticion does not sound too bad .. as long as their is someone behind it who reads and answers comments you should not even notice the automaticion too much ..

just a notification in the contest channel is not spam, but in my opinion totally ok .. just skip only one notice if ou are not interested is not annoying and if you really are Interested its fantastic ;)

Best wishes, adalger ;)

Thanks for stopping in to give your answer :)

Enjoy the rest of your day.
