Hi everyone - I am trying to learn and really understand how the Steem platform works, and my hope was that I could post questions on SteemIt and people would respond with helpful answers like on Reddit or StackExchange. The problem is that since I'm new and have no followers no one has responded to my first question!
So I'm going to try to jump-start this by offering $10 SBD to the best answer to the following post:

Thanks - but how do I ask him? Is there a way to direct message someone or something? I have tried posting replies to some whales' posts but it seems like no one sees them since there are hundreds of replies already.

You can also transfer him 0.001SBD and ask your questions in a memo or send him your link.
But the best is to try commenting on his latest post. He answered me before. I hope he will answer you as well

No it would not be cut in half since users are investing their dollars by buying Steem Power for example. So the amount of Steem released with each block i.e. the rewardpool stays the same but the value of Steem will probably go up since having so many users makes any social network more valuable assuming they bring valuable knowledge and fun! to the network.
But of course when users flee then the price of Steem in dollars will go down.

Also separate question - How can i see all the people who have upvoted this post? I only see 20 in the drop down list and it says "and 29 more"...how do i see the 29 more?

Ah i didn't know about that site you linked to - it takes a really long time to load the votes though. Also when I checked the link for this post it only showed 3 votes and the date just said 1970-1-1...does it take a while to update?
