A-MEI TEA HOUSE AT JIUFEN, TAIWAN

Hello Steemians,

Today, I'd like to share with you photographs of a famous tea house in Jiufen, Taiwan. The name of this tea house is A-Mei. This particular tea house became extremely popular as it served as the inspiration to director Hayao Mizayaki's anime film entitled Spirited Away back in year 2001. At USD289 million, Spirited Away was the second highest grossing anime film worldwide.

Chinese Tea Culture

The tea snacks were lovely. There were sweet and sour dried plums, sesame seed crackers, rice cakes coated with peanut powder and cakes with red bean fillings. I especially enjoyed the beautiful view in addition to the serene ambiance. I love Chinese tea culture!
