I run a haiku contest BUT that doesn't mean I can't make time to participate in others' -- for example, @dbooster's Haiku Contest #5: Born Again.

Here was my entry (unlike my contest, he does not ask for 5-7-5 format haikus):

Late Bloomer

Autumn crocus,
Revived from slumber.
A perch for butterflies.
