feel free to use do your own oil painting @aneblueberry but for the contest I would ask everyone to use pencils. The point of the contest is for people to learn basic drawing skills and improve in this area with a view to heopefully moving on to other mediums but I think getting a good basis in drawing can help in all other areas! :)
