Weekly Cryptocurrency Suggestion Contest - Round 8
Want to win some SBD?
I'm building a long-term savings account for my sons, and buy a bit of crypto each week! I try to diversify it as much as possible, but the amount of choices is overwhelming, and that's where you come in!
This contest is simple. Suggest any cryptocurrency for me to buy and hold for my sons. The winner gets 50% of the liquid payout for this post, and the other 50% buys the cryptocurrency suggested by the winner(s)!
The rules have changed a bit, so make sure to read them:
- Suggest a cryptocurrency that hasn't been suggested this round. (There will be a list below once people have begun to offer suggestions)
- Upvote this post and at least one other person's suggestion
One point will be awarded for every upvote on your comment from other participants. (Getting in early can increase your odds of winning, because everyone has to vote on at least one other suggestion.) One extra point if you explain why you suggested what you did. (This excludes votes from bots or other auto-votes that appear from third parties. I can only award real engagement.)
Resteeming this post will earn you one point, even if you don't suggest something, though I will upvote your comment if you do, which would give you two points total, but Resteeming is no longer required to participate.
One extra point if you provide a meaningful reply to someone's comment. I will be the judge of "meaningful". No "great comment" replies...
The winner will be the steemian with the most points when this post pays out. Participation has been somewhat variable, but a few rounds back, I awarded 6 SBD to the winner!

I recommend FunFair (FUN). It's a gambling blockchain/token based on Ethereum for online casinos. Their platform lets anyone create their own casino, and the whole economy is based around the FUN token as payment and reward within the businesses/dapps built atop their blockchain.
The coin is at $0.01 now, and is projected by the developers to go to $0.25 to $0.50 based on the size of the online gambling market and the future success of their platform in taking a piece of that pie. There is a fixed supply of tokens which have all been created, and some tokens will be burned in the future creating deflation, but I don't remember all the details. A second token sale/ICO will happen next quarter, and Alpha release of some games and MVP release of craps and video poker in Q4. Both their team and roadmap seem very solid.
And if that didn't sell you, just think: it's a token called FUN! Perfect for your kids!

I think gambling and gaming are an area where cryptocurrency really have an untapped role. I still have hopes for digibyte but FUN definitely is worth a look.

@thatsweeneyguy, my recommendation would be Dash because it has not be getting beaten up like some of our other favorite cryptocurrencies.

This is! plus, I forgot to mention that you win 5% of your total reddcoin annualy (or something like that) by letting you wallet open :D it's really an interesting crypto :)
I recommend antshares ANS. It's the Chinese answer to ETH. It has great potential as a blockchain platform because it's compatible with all programming languages while ETH uses only Solidity. It will rebrand as NEO later this year and I believe that news will create a big price jump.
Cool! They have a bit of ANS from the last round, but if you win, they'll have even more!

STOPDigixDao sounds like a safe bet for now! I would recommend getting a token where you there is some of sort regulation involved and you'll earn interests in the long term.. DigixDao is not investing directly in Gold but more in the business aspects of it. It's based in singapore now, but the idea is to investing in real application. Online Gold Vendors are already deemed to be legitimate business
