You could win up to 50% of this post for a simple suggestion!
I am building my two sons a long-term savings with cryptocurrency! I buy a different crypto each time a round of this contest ends, and I ask Steemit to help me decide which coin to buy!
All you have to do is tell me which cryptocurrency you think I should buy for them.
For anyone new to the cryptosphere, here is a list of cryptocurrencies from CoinMarketCap to choose from.
The Rules are Simple
- Suggest a cryptocurrency that hasn't been suggested yet. Any crypto, for any reason. Please suggest only one.
- Upvote this post, and a suggestion from someone else This is for community "voting", and will help me determine the winner(s)
- You will get one point for every upvote your suggestion gets from other participants.
Points will be tallied when this post pays out.

There's still a few days left to get a suggestion in for Round 13, so what are you waiting for? All it costs to enter is a couple upvotes.

Current Suggestions:
- @zero21mill - OmiseGo (OMG)
- @paul.atreides - OneGram (OGC)
- @kunschj - Qtum (QTUM)
- @offgridlife - Ethereum
OmiseGo (OMG) has one hell of an infrastructure and team behind it.
Everyday their list of retailers who accept the coin as customer payment grows longer and it's staged to become "The BitCoin of Asia."
I believe it is very under-valued and ready to make very strong moves.
Great pick!
You had me at "The Bitcoin of Asia" 😉
I'll get your suggestion added to the list of entries. Thanks for playing!
OMG seems to be an answer to all the hacks of centralized exchanges by allowing for decentralized peer-to-peer exchanges. OMG and IOTA are the only two coins in the green (in the top 20) on Coin Market Cap as I write this.
I'm going to recommend Qtum (QTUM), which Roger Ver says is "definitely one of the projects everyone should be keeping their eye on." Qtum combines a modified Bitcoin Core infrastructure with an intercompatible version of the Ethereum Virtual Machine, allowing for decentralized applications that are compatible with major existing blockchain ecosystems, as well as executable on mobile devices and IoT appliances. Qtum merges the reliability of Bitcoin’s unfailing blockchain with the endless possibilities provided by smart contracts.
Very cool! Thanks for playing again!
For sure!
Onegram (OGC) is a digital currency that is literally backed by gold!
From their Web site:
"OneGram is a Sharia-compliant gold backed digital currency. Each token is backed by one gram of gold. The base price of OneGram should always equal to the spot price of gold. The transaction fee for OneGram transactions will be used to reinvest in more gold."
The coin just completed its ICO and it sold out 20 days early. When this coins hits the exchanges it will definitely be time to buy!
Thanks for playing again! I'm curious about the 'Sharia-compliant' part. Care to elaborate?
Sure, Muslims are prohibited from participating in certain types of virtual investments but the developers of this coin worked with Muslim clerics to design a product that would allow Muslims to buy small amounts of gold without breaking any of Islam's rules regarding the types of investments allowed. This is huge because now 25% of the world's population can invest in gold through the blockchain! I think the RMG coin that the Royal Mint is coming out with later this year will also be Sharia-compliant.
Very interesting.
Definitely some Ethereum
Cool. Thanks for coming over and playing this round too!
