Since the Steem blockchain became a centralized, top-down dominated place, where control and censorship thrive, I have decided to move my content. Don't worry, though, all my posts and up and doing well on the decentralized Hive blockchain. Come and check it out!

I didn't receive my winnings (never won anything on here excited lol)
acting like a little kid :p

Wow! Thank you! Transfer went through. This was a super cool challenge, and it was challenging. I kept second guessing myself and walking around the farm checking out a few of the trees that we have as well. It was very much harder with only a picture of the branch tip, without holding it, smelling it, seeing the tree it came from, all made it more challenging. I could see an identification of: cactus, bark, rocks, soils, berries/plants, herbs, and really countless other groupings.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yes, I'd rather make it a bit more challenging than too easy, but it should still be doable. That's where you guys came it. Ahhh, I can see a cactus quiz coming up soon. Let me look around! Good to know the transfer went through.

Followed you from thl

Oh wow! Thanks! Didn't think to check my wallet yet :)
Thanks for the fun contest. It was challenging because my identification skills were def rusty.

But in the end you did, and there it was, right? ;-) I almost replied to your first comment.
Rusty or not, you've done well. Thank you for being one of the knowledgeable participants, who made this game a success.

Check it now, it should have arrived.

It would also interest me immensely what you thought of this quiz

  1. It was addictive. I kept wanting to come back and change my answers. Because i would think of one tiny thing. Retrospectively I am glad I calmed my jets and didn't lol

what you liked
I love nature and the outdoors. So this was neat. I like to think i know a few things about the outdoors and identifying things lol. I probably would do better at one involving Rock identification

suggestions for the next one
Fall leaves
Rocks
Maybe get really challenging with sediment types

Great, thanks for the input. Let me look around and try to make the next quiz as interesting.

I really like stuff like this. I am generally pretty good at identifying. Haha.

However, I think it would have been "better" or something, if there were clearer pictures of the specimens. When looking at bunches of pictures, it's very hard to tell. (for me, especially since some of them I've never seen (like the yew)! Hahah) - So, since for instance, some of these have identifiers such as "small hooks at the ends of the needle" stuff like that would be good to show too.

I am surprised that the Yew was the Yew because it looked EXACTLY like pics of whatever I said it was. Haha. Like, exactly. My husband and I both were searching and searching! And same with the Amabilis my husband was liek NO. THAT IS IT. And I was like, okay dear. Hahaha.

I LOVE identifying stuff. Haha. It's so much fun, and can be so hard. But really rewarding.

I would suck at rock identifying, please don't do that. ;) hahaha. I would try tho.

We could do insects?? Animals! Flowers?! Ooooooohhhh SO MANY OPTIONS

What I had been doing was some "nature on the farmstead" posts about wildflowers, bugs, birds, etc, and doing some research and sharing, but no one seemed interested... Except me. Hahaha. But, I know you'll be interested in that for sure! Or at least, I think you would.

I appreciate you taking the time and making this challenge, it was really fun to try.

Great to hear that my little guessing game became such an enjoyable challenge! The limited information (only branch-tips, just one rustic picture) was part of what made it interesting. Though I guess I could make it less visual, more info based... let's see what pops into my head for the next contest.
As for rocks or flowers, I think I could get into anything. Last year on Vancouver Island was my first visit to that bioregion, and needles to say I was simply swept right out of my boots by the immensity of the local flora (I called them megaflora for their incredible size). Naturally I wanted to get to know them a bit more closely. But what works with trees can work with grasses, or anything.

Mine did not go through @stortebeker
:/

Okay, I just checked in my wallet, and the history says I haven't sent it. That's weird, because I remember doing it, but good news, as it explains why you haven't gotten anything. Let me try again. :-)

Yay and wow and thanks again!
It went through just fine.
Have a wonderful day

Awesome! I saw you're on SteemitBC by the way. I'm just finding my bearings there, but it looks like a good place.
