Angel Food begins to giggle. The mob laughs more now. The green monster begins to laugh and brings his weapon down upon Angel Food again.
Another thud and splat sound instantly activates silence. The mob begins laughing again and the green monsters head tilts to the side. It's not funny to the monster. The crusty soggy eyes are now fixated as they watch Angel Food's smile stretch from ear to ear.
The mob is thinner now as pesents back away from Angel Food's unexpected manic laughter.
The green monster's frustration returns him to a familiar angry aggressive state as he raises his weapon again...
Angel Food laughs louder as the green monster raises his weapon. He wonders how long should this go on? He wonders if maybe he actually is dead. He wonders if the Dragon would have helped him in this situation.
Angel Food's laugh grows louder as he imagines melting the entire bog...

Angel Food continues laughing and the familiar thud type splat sound could be heard repeatedly as the green monster pounded him into the bog. Pesents remained curious and the beating continued.

Let me save you some trouble here... you already ran out of lives before you declared that you wanted to use the book of death, so the book of death would be ineffective. (The book's function is to stop the loss of any further lives after activation; the best time to declare its activation is before you begin combat on a stage.)
So here's what will happen: your stage 5 is over. You get your book of death back for stage 6 (as if you had never activated it). Stage 6 is the last opportunity to use items, so you should declare that you're activating the book of death first -- before you do anything else on stage 6.
