What Do You Expect From Participating In Contests?

A Contest

an event in which people compete for supremacy in a sport or other activity, or in a quality.

They are plenty in steemit. We tend to have picture challenges, art challenges, poetry contests, writing and many others.

Contests make a site interesting.

They also add gists and challenges to the activities here.

Enjoyment is an ingredient too.

Challenges and contests are worthwhile if we do the following:

  • Make challenges enjoyable.

Enjoyment makes working interesting. You can achieve much if you enjoy what you do. The more enjoyable the contests are, the better.

  • Look into all ==entries==

All entries even worse ones needs be recognized. Read through all and make an acknowledgement. One needs to know why he lost and the other won.

  • Honor the ==stakes==

Whatever one promises as a stake in a contest must be honored.

I love the ==untalented== organized by @surpassinggoogle because everybody is a winner.

*Take time on the contest.

One needs dedicate time on their contests. Every one who submits an entry must be responded to immediately.

*Group all entries together.

This is very important. Scattering entries everywhere is no good. Seek a unique tag to compile all entries together.

  • Thank all participants

You can do it in a post. Engage all the contributors.

So Why Do People Expect from contests?

* Winning

Winning actually shows your expertise in the contest. You trounced all participants. Bravo!

  • Rewards

Rewards also are something to celebrate about. One is normally very excited when he wins results.

  • Recognition

Recognition is also a vital part of participating in contests. There are people who know they cannot win but appreciate recognition.
