How It Works

1. Each day I'll give a subject/topic for a photograph. Could be a color, could be an item, could be a theme. You take a photo and post it in the comments section below. Pictures should be taken specifically for this contest, don't take pictures from Google images and don't post stuff you've already put out. The whole point of this contest is spontaneity. Anyone caught using Google image photos or previously posted photos will get a 100% downvote. This isn't get the most polished photo out there, this is a fun spontaneous daily contest, creativity counts.

2. Every single photo/comment made in the first 8 hours will get an upvote from me, with one winer, or the best photo getting a 100% upvote from me. I'd also encourage you guys to upvote and support your fellow Steemians as well.

3. Creativity counts. I may say take a photo of a fork. There's nothing wrong with just taking a picture of a fork on a table, however if you want to stick it up your nose or have a friend hold it as they jump into a pool or something goofy that makes things more interesting. I'll also on occasion be giving out Steem or SBD prizes to especially creative posters.

One area I think I could improve on in regards to Steemit is community engagement, being a part of contests and things like that. I'm closing in on 1,000 followers and want to do this as a thank you to everyone, as well as a way to give something back to the community.

There's a lot of great photo contests here on Steemit but many of them don't have prizes, and many of them are of very polished professional photos that the average person, or person just getting into photography can't compete with. The whole point of this contest is to be fun, spontaneous, and creative. This isn't about having the most super polished photo.

One other beef I have with contests is I often feel lost in terms of how to take part. I know a contest is going on but the postings often don't explain the rules or how it works, I'll link to this post in everyday's contest so new people have some context as to what the contest is about. I always thought the daily color challenges were cool but had no clue as to how the hell they worked.

Everyday I'll post a topic or subject for you to photograph. Anyone caught taking pictures from Google images or pictures they've previously posted on blogs, Instagram, etc will get a 100% downvote/flag from me, let's keep things on the up and up here guys.

You will take a photo based on the days challenge and post it in the comments section. If you don't know how to post photos in comments you can literally copy and paste them. For anyone who's confused you can make your own Steemit post and then copy and paste the photo from there into the comment on my post, or, you could also upload it to a site like IMGUR.Com and copy it from there and come paste it here.

This contest is like an overprivileged suburban kids tee ball league, everyone gets a trophy and everyone wins. Everyone will get an upvote from me, the better or more creative the photo the higher the upvote. One winner each day will get a 100% upvote from me, and on occasion when I see something I really like I'll be giving out Steem or SBD as well. I'd also encourage you guys to upvote and reward your fellow creators as well.
