I like the idea of sparking conversation. It can be challenging as we do not want to touch on topics that anger people. That is a different kind of conversation... We do not all have the same sports teams or competition in common as we come from all over the world. I know Americans have what they call a 'World Series' in some sport but the rest of the world does not know about it...

How about:

1. What is your insult of choice when you want to insult someone in a teasing way?
2. Who is your favourite historical figure and why?
3. Tell us about your favourite 'First date'.
4. What is your favourite way of relaxing?
5. Most exciting place/country you ever visited.
6. Tell us about that thing that you have always wanted to do but you keep on procrastinating.
