Hey, friends! This is @ramengirl ;)
Since I visited Thailand, I've been thinking I want to go Thailand again almost every day!!

I saw @mayasiam's Cooking for Steemit Contest, and I thought I should participate because I wanted to try to make Thai food by myself and I missed Thai food so much! And I decided to make Tom Yam Kung which is perfect for cold weather! ;)

One of the contest rules is I have to use @mayasiam's recipes, so the recipe I'm going to post about is from her blog!

  1. Pour 600ml of water to a pot and boil it.

  2. When the water starts boiling add 2 Knorr chicken cubes, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, galangal, lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves and chillies. Put all the ingredients into the boiling pot at the same time.

  3. Next, pour coconut milk into the pot. It will add amazing aroma and taste.

  4. Then, put oyster mushrooms, tomatoes and white onions into the pot.

  5. Add 3 tablespoons of tamarind juice, it will make the soup sour.

  6. Add 2 tablespoons of chilli paste. The soup will gain great colour.

  7. Put shrimps into the soup and cook them for 2 minutes. Then, stop the fire under the pot. You don’t want your vegetables overcooked.

  8. Squeeze the lime juice into the soup, your soup will have a great fresh aroma now!

  9. Time to pour some Tom Yum Kung into a bowl! Add some green onions and curanto. Make it even hotter by adding some fresh chillies!

  10. Ready to serve now, good job!

I have replaced oyster mushroom with Eringi mushroom and I didn't use Tamarind juice because it I couldn't find it :(

But... omg!! It tastes really similar to the one I had in Thailand!!! :D
I thought it's going to be difficult to make it, but Maya's recipe was super easy to follow!
Also, the taste was amazing :D
