The horse was huge and all Made off driftwood from the bay and the water is crystal clear

Ebb ( high and low tide ) pieces off the land are partial under water and thats the wood that is used
emm... not sure if I got you right. 'ebb' is the 'litoralle zone', that covered by water when the tide comes. correct?
