Rape or assault(sexual) has to do with some forms of sexual penetration against a person's consent. Before someone can be raped, there must have been much use of physical force, and so on, on the person who is not capable of consenting,ie: an unconscious person, intellectually disabled etc or below legal age of consent. Rapist must desist from rape because they have caused more harm than good to raped victims and society at large. Victim of rape are traumatized and develop posttraumatic stress disorder. They sustain serious injuries which results in unpleasant risk(pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections), and also faced with violence from the rapist. This menace must stop and people should be treated with respect and also, serious punishment should be given to defaulters(rapist). Death by hanging..
DON'T PUT THE BLAME ON US
IMG_20180303_131631_546.jpgStigmatizing victims of rape is deadly and should be STOPPED, no blames should be place on us because we never wanted it. No victim dares pray to face the consequences and humiliation of rape. It happens without our consent and nothing we could do after being subjected to serious life threath and brutality. Stigmatizing us can make we survivors feel as if we're getting raped all over again. The stigma of rape is so humiliating and people don't realize that their comments and reactions kills. Bethany Rivett, a rape survivor who shared her experience with the stigma of rape on Women's Views sometimes ago says, "When I told people I'd been raped, I was faced with reactions of utter discomfort. Some people were scared to discuss it, some didn't make eye contact while others said the necessary things in order to move on and change the conversation."She goes on to explain that people didn't realize how they made her feel, but that their reactions gave rise to strong feelings of shame and embarrassment. Rivett says even friends and family made comments that implied she could share some blame for the rape
. Asking her questions that suggested she was the one at fault. Questions like: What time of day was it? What was she wearing? Was she alone? Was she drunk/drugged?". All those shouldn't be done to us rather, show us much love and we'd appreciate it. See us as victims of circumstances and help us recover. Many things could be done to prevent rape and some are:
Ladies should never walk alone in secluded or quiet places.
They shouldn't visit a guy's place without friends. "Never walk alone
Ladies have to be carefully cautious with strangers.
They should be mindful of carelessly exposing their bodies and so on.
I hope and believe we'll have a peaceful society where social vices would be minimal. Thanks.
