I've pondered on this enigma before, believe you me. But for a very short while though, and in my childhood days only.

I've been wondering with some
strife
What influences a fart's groove in
life
Why some are loud, insolent
And others so mild, silent
Must be their childhood/upbringing, Fyfe.
