Crafty is going to change how we view self-employment and hopefully encourage people to decide to be self-employed. Crafty is aiming to do this by allowing users to develop an online reputation based on their previous work and get paid directly by they customer instead of a company. With Crafty, if you provide a good service, your customers can leave a good review, and in doing so you will earn Crafty's token.
The review works the way eBay used to, allowing businesses to leave reviews about customers. That is one of the best parts about the company. Some times you just get a jerk to work with and those people should have bad reviews as customers so others know not to work with them.
As a skilled worker you can use Crafty to work for significantly less money than a company would charge. Your company might be charging three to four hundred dollars an hour for your skills as an electrician and you might only get thirty dollars of that. With Crafty you could charge sixty dollars an hour and make twice as much money as you would and the customer would still be paying a lot less than what they would have be paying. Its a win win for the self employed and the consumer.
