Both Reading and Peterborough sit in the bottom three in the Championship with four points from six games with Reading having slightly the better goal-difference.

Reading have made two solid signings in Drinkwater and Dann and this freshening up of a tired an old looking squad almost paid dividends at the weekend until they let QPR in with a sloppy goal that cost them all three points in a 3-3 thriller with Swift hitting a hat-trick.

With home advantage tonight, they should surely produce a much-improved display against a Peterborough side still finding their legs in the Championship.

Peterborough had a torrid weekend, getting thrashed 6-0 by Sheffield United on Saturday who they themselves have had a dreadful start to the season. Tonight's game will be a real test of Posh's mettle as they attempt to put that defeat behind them and try and take something away from a tough game. Let's hope their defence, which had until the weekend been pretty solid have their heads in the right place at kick-off.

The Small Print
