Life they say, is not a bed of roses. It is full of ups and downs. In life we have so many challenges and in most cases they looked unsummountable . However, we overcome these obstacles because no human lives in isolation.

A chess board game is an intelligent game that brings out the quality of IQ. The game is about attack and defense in the proper sense of it. You have two kingdoms sitting in front of you. You make the first move which literally means you have started a war.

Each step is guided by rules and when you make the wrong move you or your king suffers the consequence. Same thing applies to life.

Every decision you make in life, you will get the reward according to the result of such action. Not all decisions affect the person alone. Some decisions in life affect both you and your family. So like the chess game, every desion counts and we bear the brunt.

The king in a chess game is the reason behind the whole game. Though the queen is very powerful but when the king dies, then it is a checkmate which means game over. So the whole calculation centers around him. It is every player priority and he must be protected by all means.

Just like the family, the father is the head and a figure that must be respected. Here in Africa, the father name (surname) is one that we don't joke with. We know we must protect it for the sake of continuity because it takes many years to build a good name and a moment to destroy it.

Like the chess game, we are always protective and offensive. We protect our family and community at large from external forces and we are offensive when there is a need to maintain superiority or send a warning to our opponent.

We all have things to fight for, things to protect, and we know that when an important figure dies like the queen in a chess game, we need to stand on our feet, move on and protect the rest of our people (in chess game, the kind must be protected).

Human life is like a chess game or better still, chess game was created to replicate the joyful and sorrowful nature of the human life.

In all you do, never give up because whatever life throws at you, pick it up, stand tall and face it.
