Weekly Trivia Contest #5 - Answers and Payouts

A huge thanks to everyone who participated in or supported week 5 of the trivia contest by submitting answers, upvoting, commenting, resteeming, or following. There were fewer answers submitted this week than in previous weeks, but that could be due to the questions being a bit tougher this week. I’ll continue to tweak the questions to hopefully appeal to the most users and increase turnout (and eventually, hopefully, payout). Be sure to check out week 6 of the contest!

• We’re going to try something a bit different with this question. I think it’s best described as a “story scavenger hunt”. Please leave me feedback about whether or not you enjoyed this question in the comments.
• You are currently located in the midwestern city in which borders Lake Michigan and was founded by a French Canadian by merging two towns together. Being in the city definitely gets you in the mood to drink a beer or two. But before drinking that beer, you decide you want to rent a movie and travel to the nearest video rental store whose name suggest you’re supposed to bring the spouse and kids. The video store is approximately 6.9 miles from the center of town. Upon arrival, you see that the store is unfortunately close for renovations, so you decide to continue on to the next closest video rental store by the same name, which is another 11.8 miles away. The movie that you select is the “coolest” movie that the store is promoting. In the trailer for this movie, you see a character adjusting a dial which changes the gravity inside a spaceship. What is the final value that this dial gets turned to? Please be precise.

• The “midwestern city in which borders Lake Michigan and was founded by a French Canadian by merging two towns together” is Milwaukee, WI. Milwaukee is known for beer, so that was an additional clue.
• The “video rental store whose name suggests you’re supposed to bring the spouse and kids” is Family Video.
• The final location that you should end up at is “Family Video, 139 E Broadway, Waukesha, WI 53186”
  
• The key to figuring out the “coolest” movie that the store is promoting is using Google Street View and looking at the Family Video marquee sign. “Ice Age 5” is definitely the “coolest” movie being promoted.
  
• In the trailer on the IMDB page for “Ice Age 5” aka “Ice Age: Collision Course”, you’ll see the scene below.
  
• Final answer: 57.29 (Ice Age 5: Collision Course trailer, 0:22)
