Based on your submissions we have decided to name our child either Goose or Pyrrhuloxia!

Lol just kidding! We already have names picked out. Shout out to @roldamn who said Raven, that is the girl name at the top of our list. :)

For most hilarious name, we had several contenders, but my favorites were:

Cuckoo - This is just funny. :) @viking-ventures
Willie Wagtail - I don't know why this one tickles me so much, good pick @sparkesy43!

Runners up included:

Cheeseburger Bird - @scottshots mentioned that they call the Mountain Chickadee the Cheeseburger Bird because it sounds like that's what it says in the call. I will never forget that and I also can't help but get a little hungrier when I think about it. :)
Pteradactyl Savage - Though modern birds do not descend from these flying reptiles, I really appreciate the 'dinosaur' reference. Great creativity! @daveonarrival
Hoot Savage - @wonderwop, what a hoot!
Goose Savage - @daveonarrival, I could never take anyone seriously with the name goose!
Chicken - was a great contender @markusmichael & @wonderwop.
Pelican - @barski, I do agree that this is not a fitting human name, though it seems to fit the bird well.
Tawny Frogmouth - These birds are so unique looking with great camouflage! If you haven't seen one, look it up! Thanks, @magicalmoonlight!
Wachtelkönig - King of the Wachtel - @mariannewest, I thought this one sounded particularly funny. What a beautiful bird!

For horrible names, there were so many…

There are too many bird names that shouldn’t be human names.

My favorites were:

Swallow - @markusmichael, this should never be a human's name... Good call.
Bananaquit - @glentoy, joseph hates pretty much everything about bananas so this was a winner for me lol.

Others that were pretty bad:

Masked Booby - Though we had a few different booby submissions, I especially thought this and the next were horrible. @glentoy
Brown Booby - @glentoy, good pick again for the horrible category.
Dickcissel - @nikisteem & @vamosheader, lol.
Emu - @markusmichael , that poor child...
Loon - @eventspeaker & @whatisnew, I wouldn't do this to a kid lol
Woodcock - @omitaylor & @a0i I especially appreciated the (hehe) you put in next to the name. (Woodcock (hehe)) lol

For best names, there were more than I expected and it was really hard to choose.

I really liked:

Wren - Simple and beautiful. Joseph really likes this one as well. @jctdesign
Hawk Savage - @daveonarrival, this really is a great name. We will keep it in mind.

Alouette - I had to look this one up and found an interesting song along with the bird. I think this name is just lovely! @vamosheader
Rosella - One of the many birds in Australia that makes that one of the next destinations on our list! Thank you, @sparkesy43.
Maya - @roldamn, creative submission. I think it is beautiful, I may consider this if we ever get a pet. :)
Lark - @kass-and-bax, good name. :)
Steller Jay (Steller Savage) - @scottshots, I do think Steller Savage would be cool!
Nightingale - @roldamn, I don't think I had thought of this one before.
Condor - Very regal name. I will have to think on this one. @barski
Phoebe - I think this is pretty cute and I love their voice. Nice submission, @dennisauburn
Savanna - @nikisteem made a post but I only took the first five. I was glad I could include this one.
Skye (skye bird) - @dkid14, I thought this was quite creative to include. :)
Hyacinth (Macaw) - @bunnymoney, this is a gorgeous name. Hyacinths are also one of my favorite flowers!
