One thing I love about steemit and will continue to love about it is that your growth is directly proportional to how much time you spend on the community working. So the higher the time you spend working in the community the faster your growth rate.
So what I would love as an improvement in the blockchain is the search feature, everyone keep complaining about how wacky it is and the search feature bringing unrelated steemit contents. You can search for someone on facebook and see something about steemit or other stuff, but on steemit you see results showing something totally different from what was searched. Happy new year in advance steemians have a wonderful celebration.
Hmm...true..you are making a good point...the search feature is available on the esteem app although still not yet accessible on browsers
Thank you for this idea. What I really love about steemit is the fact that people here dont just post any kind of information. You post and get rewarded for your reasonable and valuable post. It is mind blowing. It tells you the direction steemit is going and that it is taking the lead on all social media platforms in the near future. Kudos guys 👍

One of the things i love about Steemit is the fact that it has so many things rolled into one. It helps you connect with people, makes you learn, gets you rewarded and also brings out tje creativity in you because you have to make your content rich to be able to attract the attention of others, not only to get upvotes, but to build your brand and make your impacts. The quality of information i have been exposed to in just one click is too amazing for me. No regrets. I totally love it.
One thing i would love is a better platforms for the minnows. It is sometimes frustrating for starters, but with encouragements from here and there from established members like @surpassinggoogle does, it can always soothe it. People most times just upvote without actually reading a content, and the learning part is ignored in this part and only the gain part is activated. If something can be done that would make people only be entitled to a reward on a post only when they spend more time on that blog or when they read the contents. If anything could be done to determine the amount of time spent on a page. Sounds a little bit odd but then, that is why it is a suggestion. Learning and money should go hand in hand. Great idea for a contest, this is one idea I have been working on. Now to this contest, one thing that interest me without mincing is the idea of getting rewarded for your original work. I, Like a lot of people have been posting and contributing to the growth of social media for a long time and the best we get as a reward is a birthday/anniversary messages or videos (some don't even think this is necessary). We, the users provide all the content and even do a lot of promotion and referral without getting anything in return. So when I got to know about steemit, I was like "this is something for a change".
One growth idea I will love to see is the idea of getting a reward for referring other people to steemit. The power of referral can never be over emphasize in the growth of any business or establishment online or offline, it is one of the oldest and still the most effective way of marketing. People naturally trust the words of their friends and family than any advertisement. We all like a bit of reward for our actions, dont we? It will be great for steemit to have a space for referrer in the sign up form and such referrer rewarded with Steem/steem power/steem dollar. This will motivate a lot of steemians who don't see the need in going all out to promoting steemit to their friends and family or even enemies (don't underestimate the power of steem/steem power/steem dollar) online and offline. This idea can cause a good growth of steemit community in 2018.
One and most important thing that fascinates me on steemit is the ability to connect people with interest alike. So for me as a new steemian and photographer, i have learnt so much from amazing photographers on here, i can say the one month i have stayed has made me a better photographer than i could ever imagine.
And am really hoping a sort of post notification of users option is available so i could follow up on my mentor photographers on here.

I will first commend a nice initiative behind this post. It is a right step forward in this coming new year. Steemit to me is a platform that brings out some hidden potential in individual. It has help in knowledge enlightenment and also networking. Steemit has created an environment for people to meet and interact with idea, it has help to build up minds of people into creative act and entrepreneurial skills. I will suggest that steemit community should try and create awareness among the general public on the need to read news and get day to day update from bloggers.
One thing I love about steemit is dat apart from you making profit, it also opens your mind to think of wonderful things and researchs people would want to knw...I neva could have taken a book, that I want to start writing a story or even poem talkmore of blog. It has really opened my eyes to read stuffs from all over the world because I knw if I get to r3ad them, i will have to make contributions fitting the comments that will get me curstion rewards, honestly. Steemit is an eye opener jare. I think if they would be able to upvote icon, cos people jst see d upvote like a compitition, d like icon would have been better, then where u could set the %vote could be made visible, so dat people dat are scared dat there steempower would reduce, could just adjust it there. Ehm! wot again oOoo? Then if theres anyway we could get notifications from our followers and the followee..lol, it would be nice, I believe 2018 will be action packed on steemit, thanks!
In my little opinion and based on the time I have spent on steemit, I think the more time you spend on steemit, the more growth you have. That have reflected on my account and I love that
