WHO IS A VICTIM?
NOUN
A person harmed, injured or killed as a result of crime, accident or other event or action
A victim can also be describe as someone who is tricked or duped, it can also be referred
to a person who has come to feel helpless and passive in the face of misfortune or
ill-treatment.
Another way to define who a victim is a person who is the object of an abuse, criticism, ridiculed,
hurt or damage in one way or the other.
WHAT IS RAPE?

Rape is defined as a type of sexaul assult usually involving the acctual sexual intercourse
or other forms of sexual penetration carried out against someone.
Rape is an unlawful sexaul activity and carried out forcibily or under threat of injury against the will
of the person who is beneath a certain age or incapable of valid consent.
There are several rape inccidents recorded worldwide.
Every seconds, an act of rape is being carried out.
WHO ARE THE VICTIM OF RAPES?
No one is exempted from this act, both males and females are raped daily and most times the perpetuators of this act goes scot-free.
In this picture above, it shows a lady who covers herself with blanket.
Who is the lady?
What does it says?
Why is she looking away from the camera?
Is she afraid?
What state of mind, was she at that moment?
These are some of the questions that ought to be considerd when interpretting the picture.
This young lady could be your sister, cousin, niece, girlfriend, wife or mother.
From my perspective, this is an act of violence, an act of rape.
The lady in the picture is a VICTIM OF RAPE
It shows that this lady was raped and the shame and pain was just too much for her to bear
and all she could do is just cover her nakedness with the blanket.
She is not looking at the camera and could not face the camera because of the humiliation she feels. All her self respect, diginity and pride had been taken away from her.
She is afraid of what he/they might do with the pictures of her taken.
No one can imagine the pain she is feels, the stae of min she is in. Its a state no one prays to find him/herself.
Rape victim stories are not hard to find because a lot of people are being rapes daily.
These victims are close to us more than we can imagine.
Lets stop this act, we are gradually destroying ourslves.
