Bookshelves Writing Prompt Game. 15+ SBD inside! Brought to you by #newsteem.
Lets play a game! Take a look at my bookshelves. In the first round, pick up to 5 books, and write at least a paragraph about each book. Also, mention if you have read the book or not (you could just look up info about a book that interests you!)
The best entries will get .50 sbd each (per book paragraph(s) I really like) and an extra .25 sbd for each book you mention that I have read (so it's a bit of a guessing game too).
In round 2 We will all choose together (by some rules I don't know what they are yet :-) which are the best writing prompts, or the most interesting to the crowd.
Then, the crowd will vote on a winner, and I will pick a winner. Each of whom I will pay 5 sbd to write an article on the winning submission.
Have fun.. lmk if you need help understanding a title. I look forward to all of your response to this. Add 50c to entries about books I haven't read. Only 1 James Michener book per entrant. Round 2 will begin at post payout.

I really like this contest as it gets your mind going and isn't just a random luck contest either. So here is my book...
Say the magic words by Lynette Padwa.
I have not read this book but I was able to get the idea of what the book is about by googling it. The book helps you navigate through normal daily encounters and communicate in the way to get the results you would like. As I said, I have not read this book, but for a brand new paperback copy on Amazon ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/0142002127/ref=tmm_pap_title_0?ie=UTF8&qid=&sr= ) for under $10. I'm sure if you searched other sites that deal more with used books that price would be much cheaper.
This book has sparked my interest and I honestly believe that the concepts in the book man be helpful in small ways with our Steemit lives. I guess we'll have to check out the book to know for sure!
so I flipped some pages today and it actually looks useful. I'm always skeptical about these types of books, because there is so much "fluff" out there. This one goes through specific examples of the types of people you will talk to, and how to communicate in order to get the best results.
How to talk to your doctor, hairdresser, lawyer, waiter, realestate agent, ect. I look forward to reading it, and might use it like a reference book for certain situations as needed.
I just picked it up today at an amazing library booksale. I grabbed a lot of stuff. An entire bookshelf (two or three pics) worth :) I will be checking it out later since you mentioned it. I will flip pages and see if it's legit
This is a cool idea! I will entry if I can managed to produce something:-) When is the deadline for posting entries?
post payout. I'd love to see any ideas you came up with.
Do you have an approximate date/time/timezone on deadline? Post payout isn't easy to calculate. Also is participation in round 1 mandatory to be in on the writing half?
there are approximately 5 days left. and yes. you must choose some books from the shelves and write a paragraph about one or 5 of them, to get to the next round. I have 5sbd I will throw down on round 1, and no entries yet, so there is plenty of space for contestants here.
Can you get an approximate day/time? Perhaps from looking at your payout date in steem.supply ? It really helps people to have a more concrete deadline.
lets call it sunday. anytime on sunday. (and I tend to be a little loose on that, I'm not going to punish people who are a few hours late).
Perfect. Thank you!
