I must tell you that my favorite quote is from the Yoruba tribe, which can also be translated into any generally accepted language.

Ijó tí a bá kan òkè kó lán kan òrun.

The above quote is a Yoruba quote, Yoruba is a popular tribe in my country.

Probably you are not familiar with that quote before, or you are wondering which country I am from, I'm a Nigerian, YES!!! Nigeria is my country, and also I must tell you that the quote which is a very know adage is from my tribe, at this time you must have gotten the fact that am a Yoruba born.

Translating "Ijó tí a bá kan òkè kó lán kan òrun" in the world most accepted language, it simply means Rome was not built in a day.

I don't want you to be too bothered here, you might have been thinking that why do I choose this as my favorite quote knowing to you that it's one of the popular quotes on earth, right?

The answer is simply because of its wide applications on this earth.

I hope it's getting interesting? Don't worry I will explain how with examples.

I believe we know clearly that there are two types of milk, the natural milk in the breast of a woman and the artificial ones which are man made.

Please let take a look at it together, if the woman is healthy and surely no casualty happens after she delivered. the first food to be introduced to the newly born is breast milk, she can never skip that for artificial milk because for it to get to artificial milk, there must have been some stages passed by the baby. That's point one.
We all are not new on Earth, and I know we've not met any lady who wants her child to start walking three months after birth, every other person knows that it's a gradual process, a normal thing happens at the normal time.
No parent is expecting returns on in a barely grown child, Ok, for instance, no parent is expecting a gift from a child he's still sending to school, at the time of schooling, the only gift a child can give the parent is good grades.

From here we see that training a child to freedom is not a day job, but a gradual process.

Here I'll be illustrating with the steemit community as a perfect example.

Can you be a whale on your very first day on steemit? Can all Steemian know who you are even with your introductory post the very first week on steemit? Can you score a reputation score of the highest in your very first introduction to the community?

If truly you are a steemitian of good knowledge of how the community operates, you will agree with me that all my rhetorical questions answered NO!!!

Checking @gbenga (59) profile on steemit, he is a curator with a reputation of 59 has at the time of writing this post, now let me ask questions, why is he not earning more than @mindhunter (72), @tamim (71), @papa-pepper (76) or even @jerrybanfield (70)?

Frankly speaking, @gbenga is hadn't earned up to them at all, but it isn't a matter to think about because the fact remains the same, they didn't join this community at the same time.

Even if @gbenga is ready to earn up to their earnings it is possible but actually, not in a day.

This is also a quote that applies to everyone else in life, in steemit community and even in everything, everything we think we deserve is achievable if truly we deserve it, it just might not come quickly as expected,

Rome wasn't built in a day, don't force things to happen, all you need to do is to plan things to happen.
