My Sample of a Tenacious Tree for The Tenacious Tree Contest
Greetings, Dear Steemians
This is my entry for the Tenacious Tree Contest organized by @kus-knee.

I liked the idea of idea of looking for examples of tenacity in trees growing in the most unlikely places, surviving against all odds. I think that trees can provide inspiration when it comes to never giving up.
This one, an almendrón tree (Terminalia Catappa or country almond) located at Ayacucho St. in Cumaná, has survived quite a few cuts and pavings. There used to be two of them.
Now only this one survives and drivers seem to be ok with it.
This tree seems to be so eager to grow in the urban settings that it does not mind giving it a try in the most unlikely of places.

Oh, I like the Tenacious T idea. And your entry. Trees are, indeed, stubborn things with lots of life power. I remember some talks about new saplings applying 400 atmospheres of pressure when coming through the asphalt cover to touch the air above.

It is indeed. I remember some 25 years ago it was chopped down when the street got repaved and the stubborn thing grew back up. People gave up trying to tame it and eventually they found a way to coexist with it kind of in the middle of the road
