No not every single one, I try to hit most of them. Have you ever tried to leave the last reply with you or janton? I swear that is his strategy, never let anyone have the last word in a conversation. I've tried it and after 30 or so comments I finally gave up.

lol, I saw his chair post, that is classic.... he's wondering how you got his address. I started to reply and tell him you worked for the NSA, but that's how crazy rumors get started.

BTW watch the fast reply app, I have had several comments and votes that just queue up and not send. I havn't been able to identify a pattern yet, but it will not send on this thread anymore.

Oh now that is interesting! Its utopian built, so if we can get some screen shots of a bug theres pretty good payouts for the post reporting it! Seriously going to get back into utopian this month, got my computer all set up today, only 3 trips to walmart and one to office max ;p

You seem like you use steem as as a social outlet, how interested are you in big upvotes?

Well, at this point I probably wouldn't decline payout.... It's probably the only way I'll be able to set up a witness or invest in Steem, sweat equity...

I do use it for social, other than LinkedIn and church it's my only social outlet. I mostly just work....

You're going to have to give me the lowdown on Utopian.io I set up an account a couple months ago and linked it to my github, but have done nothing with it. I saw some big payouts on there though.

Well, I would like to invite you to work with me on some of these projects, I have my new office set up now, have docker downloaded and am going to restart in a moment here to get hardware virtualization working hopefully. Let's team up!

You wouldn't happen to have any spare hosting capacity would you?

I have a webhosting plan, for multiple sites. I have my business site on it and a project site I've been working on occasionally(not finished) www.discipleshipcentral.com

I've done aws and azure before, plus a whome bunch of the 'pick your plan' guys, but currently have nothing. Was looking at different machines to rent to get this tool off the ground again.

Still messing around with virtualization....

AWS and Azure are hard to beat. What kind of specs are you looking for? Any expected bandwidth etc.?

Well, since it is a steemtool, it will have to be scaleable eventually. We never had any problems last year though on the tiniest micro server, even though I know a few dozen people were using it. Scaleability can come much later too, plus once it is up, we can do posts to raise the hosting costs.

How's this, the vote goes through but the comment never posts. I've had several of these. I also had several votes that did not go through, but I think figured that out. I was playing around with the slider(new toy), and if I have it set low the vote never posts. The best I can tell, (I wish I could get access to the steem SQL so this is a guess and only a guess) since my vests are relatively small if I set it to vote below 0.001 then the vote never goes through.

So I have replicated the bug, it seemingly won't reply if the comment chain is over a certain length.

The votes is a different issue, you need, I think its like 1.2 SP to record a vote, and that is 1.2 SP x 100VP, to if you have really low percentages multiplied by low voting power you are going to have trouble. I think it works best with 5 SP minimum, which is why they give you a slider (1-100%) when you get 500 SP.

The comment issues starts at 12 deep, I tested it out with janton last night. I tested it with just reply and with vote/reply, it happens the same with both. Which is logical if they are using a function/object-based programming style.

You are almost at 50 rep!

I gave you a 100 % upvote to see if I could make it move....

So you'll need about 17 more of those....

lol, Thanks, I was at 46 two week ago. I've got to get some sort of post out, I've got 3 in process. If I post I should hit 50 just from auto votes.

Yeah, it's only about 68 cents that you need! Bet you wish you had waited to claim your byte balls now! You probably weren't expecting to shoot up so fast to 50!

I had been on 46 for a month, I hit 46 really fast, I had a comment with a huge upvote and a curie voting trail on a post real early on. Then it like dried up for a month. I've been trying to concentrate on engagement, but it takes a large amount of time, verses creating a post and using a bid bot.

Are you going to post the bug to utopian? I haven't gotten as far as digging into utopian to figure it out yet. BTW it happened at 11 on another user, so it may vary just a little.
They may want to know about the vote as well, and either remove the slider or write a short script to compare the actual vote, to the 5SP min, and force it to 5SP if it is below that.

I dug into it, because the rules have changed somewhat, and there is actually a whitelist for projects that will pay (upvote) for bughunting. This is not on that list, so I reached out on the development post to see if they wanted to add it (its free and they just have to ask) but I haven't heard back. Its possible this is an abandoned project, or the fall in steem price led them to other projects in the meantime. Or they will get back to me eventually. Utopian has categories, and bugs are only one, I am looking into development and also analysis, but I did also tutorials back in the day.

Well, you know that's too bad I just found another one. Did you hear back from them?
If a username has a .(dot) in it, their in context links do not work.

We should definitely make a list! I haven't heard back, but since the site is still live I think they will come back eventually, potentially when the steem price rises. It is on github so worst case scenario we fork it and host a private version just for us bwahahaha

lol, I think it's catching on a bit with us using it. I've had a couple conversations about it and lynncoyle1 just replied to me using it. So that's 5 people in the top 25 of the engagement league asking or using.

Access costs 10 steem for one month, I'm setting everything up to buy in for a month and do some reports on utopian to pay back the cost.

I may try it out at some point, SQL is my bread and butter. 80% of my consulting is SQL extracts or training people on SQL. Healthcare data gets into some pretty complex stuff sometimes.

That is awesome! Now I know who I am going to ask questions to! Right now I am reviewing R and practicing on some open government data.
