I really liked this post as well! I have never understood people that are "bored" or have trouble finding what to do with their time. So many hobbies, so little time is my problem :)
There is its opposite side too..I know many people who got into a depressed state of mind immediately after retirement especially ladies not knowing what to do from the next day. Their usual routine gets upside down from the moment they realize they are idle..
The reason I admire this blog too as he is cleverly and productively managed those difficult days
