I Won 225 SBD From @hendrix22 NFL Survivor Contest!

Holy crap, I am still at a loss for words with how happy I am.  I cannot thank @hendrix22 enough for running such an awesome competition.  His posts were timely and easy to follow.  More importantly though, he ran a smooth, fair competition.  He took the time to go back through posts to make sure nobody was cheating and even caught a few people using duplicate accounts.  Even more importantly than that though, he is simply just an amazing, good person trying to make the world a better place.  Give him a follow and show him support if you aren't already, he deserves it and notices those who support him.  

The Contest

The contest consisted of picking 1 NFL team who we thought would win every week for 17 weeks.  The catch though was we could not pick the same team more than once.  The contest started with many participants and slowly dwindled as people realized they did not have a chance. I had a pretty good start and ended up missing only 2 games the entire season.  It wasn't really until the 13th or 14th week where I really thought I had a chance of winning.  

I kept doing my routine of picks and we came down to the final 17th week. Myself, @jonsnow1983, and @mirda were all tied for first with one pick left.  @jonsnow1983 and I ended up picking the Vikings, while @mirda already used the Vikings as his pick and went with the Redskins.  I met @jonsnow1983 on the Steem Poker League (@spl, @tuck-fheman - check em out!)  We joked with each other that if we made it to the final 2, we would split the pot.  Unfortunately for @mirda, the Redskins pulled  a Redskins move and lost while the Vikings held on for the win.  We did it! We were frantically messaging each other on discord and agreed to still split the pot of 450 sbd, or 225 each.  I could not have been more honored and happy for the two of us. @jonsnow1983 is another great doing everything he can to make a difference.  We had to finish the competition, so I picked the Saints, he had the Panthers and the Saints ended up winning.  I received 350 sbd and transferred 125 to @jonsnow1983 so we both ended up with 225. Absolutely incredible.  

What am I going to do with the winnings?

This is a huge amount of winnings for me right now.  My wife and I have a house payment, car payment, all of the usual bills, and she is pregnant with our first child, due in May.  I could easily withdraw all of it and put it straight to bills, but I am choosing a different route.  Since times are already tight, I have not had much money to invest in cryptocurrency.  This is a great opportunity to trade and build my portfolio.  I know my wife would love to have the money now, but I truly believe this will help us more than we could ever imagine in the long run.  I could not be more excited to see what this becomes.

Other than investing, I will donate some to @spl.  They are the first real community I got involved with on Steemit and I couldn't be happier about it.  There are regular poker tournaments, 100% free with a chance to win real SBD. @tuck-fheman has done an absolutely amazing job creating such a fun community and I cannot thank him enough either.  

Lastly, I want to power up! The more power the better.  I plan on being here for a long time and truly believe we all have an amazing opportunity.  I will watch prices and decide when a good time to power up is, but am definitely planning on it.  @hendrix22 gave me an opportunity, and part of that opportunity is to keep the SBD/Steem on Steemit, grow, and give back with upvotes.

I know that was a lot of words and not enough pictures, I hope your eyes didn't strain too much (if anyone actually read all of it, ha!)  Once again, thank you @hendrix22, this is an amazing gift that will greatly help me, my wife, and soon to be baby for years to come.
