She writes about her mother, whom she has had to care for during the past several years prior to her demise. We understand that her mother was not a particularly nice person and took advantage of the daughter. She makes us see the mother's personality using vivid imagery. When the mother passes, the daughter finally gets married and tries to lead her own life. The twist is that she has turned into her mother and still does not find happiness. The story is well written and engaging.
