My aim is to keep contest at the highest possible level. It is really hard for an amateur to compete with some pro entries, but regretfully prize fund is quite limited still...

logically speaking, you are right, Inno way many members who just uses their smartphone for photos can compete with professionals. Even if you organize two sets of contest, one for pro and others how could you distulngish between them in a platform like steemit.
so leave it., I was really appreciating the beauty of those snaps, most of them might taken with wide angle lens.
