Hi there angelafx, i think you have a problem with one person using multiple accounts to enter your competitions, they may be using as many as 20 to 25 accounts. When a real account, which is not one of there own makes a prediction, they sandwich that prediction between two of their fake accounts, to a close decimal, one going a little bit higher and one going a little bit lower, giving the real account holders very little chance of winning, and using their other accounts to make random predictions and thus they win almost every time. If you take a look at the most recent bitcoin competition you will understand what i mean. They usually sandwich the first five or six predictions, and then flood the remaining competition spots, with they're multiple accounts.
They switch which accounts do the sandwiching so as to avoid detection. the real accounts have to predict the precise price to win. Some of the accounts that i've noticed doing this unusual behaviour are fastold, pum, vaco, passat, stnr , sporttr, gretna, nazonyan, maltoz, coruna, nzl19500, gbk78, calg, vanbasten hn13, m29, there are many more. The only chance real accounts have of winning is if you get your prediction towards the end of the allocated 25 entrance spots, when its too late for them to sandwich your prediction.
In the eos and steem competitions its to be expected as the price fluctuations are small, but it becomes more apparent in the bitcoin, litecoin and ethereum competitions. I think they are using account bots, because they all vote at once. Whether If its two minutes after your posting or 1 hour after your post. They predict within one or two minutes of each other.
Well just thought i should bring this to your attention, what you choose to do with this information is up to you, as it is your competition, but this person is practically stealing your steem and i thought you should know. As always Best wishes.
Thank you for letting me know about that! I would have thought the same! But the thing that how could we figure out the real cheater, if I could do, I would put her/him in my ignored list for sure (I already stated in the game rule).
