This question hit me when i read, a post the other day on the web. The guy was claiming that content marketing killed our ability to learn. His point was this: Content marketing makes it hard to find good content, because content marketing pays off when optimized for machine - google crawlersfor instance- this systematically affects the quality of the content. The guy's idea made perfect sense. Thinking about it made me ask a more basic question .It isn't about the structure of content or the way it's distributed. I want to go deeper tothe substance itself. The core of content.

Think about it, content marketing is all about selling at the end of the day. So the content created with this purpose in mind, is by nature biased. Of course some really smart marketers know their audience is quite smart, so they keep their content as objective as they can afford - i know because i've seen it- but the majority of those adopting a content marketing methodologst want the easy quick buck. Outcome: drops of decent content in an endless ocean of crap.
The equation is simple though: good content offer true value to its target audience. bad content doesn't necesserally look bad, but at it's core is just about closing the sale and move on. I could give various examples about this but i feel too lazy for the moment.
