Terraces on the Oaxacan Coast – Preparing for the Adventure
View this post on Hive: Terraces on the Oaxacan Coast – Preparing for the Adventure
Since the Steem blockchain became a centralized, top-down dominated place, where control and censorship thrive, I have decided to move my content. Don't worry, though, all my posts and up and doing well on the decentralized Hive blockchain. Come and check it out!
Wonderful to see this happening! Great job, i look forward to seeing more! Please keep dropping links in link-drop so i dont miss out!
Will do, thanks for the help spreading it. Seems like it's working quite well already!
Congratulations! This post has been upvoted from the communal account, @minnowsupport, by stortebeker from the Minnow Support Project. It's a witness project run by aggroed, ausbitbank, teamsteem, theprophet0, someguy123, neoxian, followbtcnews/crimsonclad, and netuoso. The goal is to help Steemit grow by supporting Minnows and creating a social network. Please find us in the Peace, Abundance, and Liberty Network (PALnet) Discord Channel. It's a completely public and open space to all members of the Steemit community who voluntarily choose to be there.
If you would like to delegate to the Minnow Support Project you can do so by clicking on the following links: 50SP, 100SP, 250SP, 500SP, 1000SP, 5000SP. Be sure to leave at least 50SP undelegated on your account.
Sounds like a great project! Excellent narrative along with your photos as always!
Thank you Chelsea! And also cheers for introducing me to new readers! Your curation is highly appreciated. :-)
Delighted to see you've got such a project on the go! Tires for retaining walls are incomparable to other materials for stability and resiliency. My house wouldn't exist without them! I was (naively) under the impression that Mexico would be a bit relaxed on the paper work side of things, but perhaps that it is best in the long run. Glad to see your Year unfolding with such fun and interesting adventures! I heard rumor you might be coming to Canada in the Spring! would be great to meet if we are there at the same time. Check your 'other messages' on the other platform for a msg from me. Cheers!
The rumors are true, I am coming to Canada. Though most of the time I'll be on a certain site on Vancouver Island, I'd certainly would like to arrange a meet-up, if you're nearby. If you're in Victoria in April that would be quite ideal. Otherwise... we can figure out something. As far as paperwork in Mexico, it is not any more relaxed than any other country I've seen. You may choose to ignore it, which is a lot easier here, but if you are building a theater for public performances, I guess it's better to play by the book.
My respect for your new project, I heard about from @chelsea88, she posted her newest article to our facebook group CleanSteemit https://www.facebook.com/groups/184377172301161/
Keep on with your great work, have a safe trip to Texas.
Best regards from Thailand
Tom
I just saw the group. It is amazing, all the things she's involved with to make Steemit the wonderful experience it is. So glad to have her. But also thanks to you for taking a look. If you are interested in the kinda projects I have planned, there should be lots of interesting posts coming. I hope you enjoy them.
--- By the way, I'm not going to Texas, at least not this year. Oaxaca, Vancouver Island, and later on New Zealand.
Tom
Dankeschön! Freut mich ebenfalls. :-)
For a pirate you´re quite the landlubber! 😘
But anyway:
Für 2018 wünsche ich dir immer ´ne Handbreit Wasser unterm Kiel!
Hahaha, that's true, I haven't been out at sea for a while, nor am I planning to. Süßwasserpirat? But in any case, being a pirate is a mentality (as I like to see it).
Dank Dir für die Neujahrswünsche, und wünsch Dir ebenfalls nur das allerbeste für 2018!
Sounds like such an interesting project, I saw @chelsea88's post and had to come and check your blog out, Looking forward to seeing more
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out. And yes, there will be more to come for sure. This week probably a bit more frequently than most of the rest of the year, but once a week at least there should be a new post on my current project.
Cool look forward to seeing the updates
This looks so good. Seems like a perfect PermaBliz opportunity. Will use my last breath of upvote on this, before I go and have a nice weekend. Wasted all my Steem Voting Power in the first 2 days :D. Happy Steeming!
Ohhhh, I think the project is a biiit too extensive for a quick blitz! In fact, we plan on having it done by the end of Feb (and hope we'll actually finish by mid March).
Oh yeah, I've been there too: spending all your voting power. Don't worry, it'll come back in a few days. Normally 5-10 votes a day is sustainable, and once you reach 500 SP you get the slider, so you'll be able to decide the percentage of your voting strength.
Did you see my article on the earthbag construction workshop that I was around on our favorite (very much like own family) Permaculture farm of the region? It's only on Wordpress and I don't know if I will trasport that article to steemit or not. Have a look if you like: https://mypermaculturesite.wordpress.com/2017/03/12/earthbag-building/
About the steemit.com learnig curve: 5-10 you say? Well I went far over board then. With the rate of upvotes and likes one is used from Disqus and Facebook, no wonder. But I must say I like the slowness that is build into this system here. Makes you think on how you act and what you post and how you publish. If I may ask: How is it with the Voting Power? What does this number influence? I still did not get that part and I am still regenerating and only back up to 65,82%.
Check out this page: https://steemnow.com/ (add your own username). It gives you info about how much your vote is worth. At the moment all you can do is give 100% votes, which is okay, considering you're relatively new with little power.
And yes, I'll be happy to come back to your other article and read it... later. Right now life is calling, but I'll be back soon.
