We are in a constant state of delegation and advocacy,
Advocating for ourselves,
Attempting to advocate for those we love,
If we don't advocate chances are everything may be lost,
After all who is left out there to trust?
To have your best interest in mind?
While the majority thinks only in terms of "I".

Individuals with a job to do,
Rinse and repeat the millionth exact replica of a day,
Everyone does the very least,
Hoping to get the biggest gain,
While passing the blame to the rest,
Yes, the world is here for you sir,
You are entitled to anything you believe you deserve,
It's a shame your mother couldn't teach you best.

Surrounded by miracles and ample blessings,
We still want more,
Maybe if we just fix the wage?
Still too much to ask?
Too little to gain?
When a broken system is in place,
Providing for those willing to take others' gains,
Perfectly capable and perfectly planned,
Why bother doing some work?
There goes half of another paycheck I earned,
It only took 40 hours of my life,
When did it all begin to make such little sense?

Everyone is constantly delegating or being delegated to,
As we spin like marbles,
In a game we never agreed to play,
Living life for what purpose?
Treating things we can purchase with love,
While neglecting those showering us with love,
Emotions begin to feel like the enemy,
While numbness attempts to creep into your heart and your mind.

Let me know when you've had enough,
Lose this unnatural tune we play,
Surround yourself with nature,
Snap out of it,
Look up,
Look silly,
Wake up and do more than merely survive!
