One thing I admired about the Russian is because of their proverb saying:
"Better slapped with the Truth than kiss with a Lie"
For many years most people prefer the Lie consciously or unconsciously, because it is miserable to embrace the Truth. But over time more and more people will embrace the truth slowly and we will have a better future and a better place to live. :)
There are a great many things I have respect about the Russian people for.
I for one would rather painfully eat glass laden truth than the poisons of a banana split lie, regardless of how euphoric or comforting it may feel in the moment.
