UN Employees Are Committing Rape and Pedophilia - An Examination Of The Problem & Potential Solutions!
This is not a conspiracy theory but I believe there is a conspiracy to cover this up! The UN itself acknowledges that abuse of women and children by UN employees happens! In this post I will look at some of the admitted cases of abuse by UN personal and how these atrocious acts were dealt with.
I hope that by looking at these examples the pattern will be obvious to you.
An analysis of how these cases are handled creates even more worrying connections in my mind but I will be interested to hear your thoughts. I don't often write posts like this because I find the subject matter deeply distressing. However I am so absolutely furious with what I see happening that I had to complete this post.
What you may not realise is that if you pay tax in a developed country that donates to the UN you are potentially backing these crimes financially. I apologise in advance for the distressing nature and details of this subject!
How I Came To Write This Post
I have recently been in Cambodia where the UN has a presence and has been in charge of the Khmer Rouge Trials which have cost $300 million dollars, taken 11 years and produced 3 convictions. To me this seems like a blatant criminal act. Pedophilia and child abuse happen in Cambodia and as usual the UN happens to be there in a big way too.
When researching organisations to donate the $400 generated from my post about why I vote for @teamsteem as a witness I found a lot of cheats masquerading as charities. However I did meet some amazing people. One organisation I spoke with seems to be doing incredible work rescuing children. I will soon write a post about them and donate the money directly to their project. I hope to assist them to generate an income stream here on Steemit for the amazing work they do.
The UN's Own Admissions Of Guilt
Before we turn to the allegations let us have a look at what the UN itself is saying about human trafficking, child abuse and rape committed by its employees. According to UN Secretary General António Guterres in 2016 there were 145 cases of sexual exploitation and abuse by UN troops amounting to 311 individual victims. The UN admits that many of these victims were children and that these figures might only represent a small fraction of a much larger problem.
What??? The UN's peace keeping troops are getting paid salaries yet are abusing hundreds of adults and children? Something is very, very wrong here and sadly as we get into the larger allegations we will see there is much more going on than meets the eye!
Instances Of UN Abuse
The details of the abuse of adults and children by UN employees are very disturbing and upset me deeply. They have been covered by other journalists. I wish to mention them briefly here to highlight the problems but I will not dwell on the stories. This is not out of any disrespect for the victims rather I want to address some potential solutions.
One well publicised case accused members of the UN peacekeeping force of direct involvement in the procurement of sex slaves for a local brothel in Bosnia. NATO troops and private contractors of the firm DynCorp were linked to prostitution and forced prostitution in Bosnia as well as Kosovo. Disgraceful!
UN employees in Haiti and Sudan are accused of engaging in the sexual abuse of children. A 2015 UN report interviewing over 200 Haitian women, a third of whom were minors exposed how these women and girls were forced to have sex with UN soldiers in exchange of material aid. In Central African Republic at least 98 girls said they had been sexually abused by international peacekeepers. Appalling!
These are only a few examples of abuse by UN employees, sadly there are many more of these stories! What is interesting is how they were handled and what efforts have been made to eradicate this problem.
A Pedophile Ring Located In The UNICEF Building!
In 1987 the headquarters of UNICEF in Belgium was used to produce and store child pornography. It is important to remind you here that UNICEF is the UN's organisation for children. According to their own website they exist to cross 190 countries and territories, UNICEF defends the rights of children.
This in insane! The organisation that is supposed to be working for children was being used to abuse children and make child pornography. Although bizarre this situation is perhaps not as strange as it first appears. What better place for pedophiles to hide than at UNICEF.
Belgian police reported seizing more than 1,000 pedophile photographs and a mailing list of 400 names which had been prepared on the UNICEF office computer. A UNICEF employee was arrested with police claiming he was hosting evening computer classes for children in the organisation's offices and making them pose for pornographic photographs.
Sickening! 😢
A UN Whistleblower - A First Hand Account Of These Crimes!
Not all UN employees are guilty of these crimes. There are good people working for the UN and Kathryn Bolkovac was one of them. A former police investigator she later went to be a monitor with United Nations International Police Task Force in Bosnia and Herzegovina. During her time with the UN she blew the whistle on UN employees involved in sexual abuse.
The UN has repeatedly promised that it is taking steps to deal with employees involved in abuse yet when Kathryn Bolkovac blew the whistle on the UN she was fired. Again this doesn't make any sense! In her own words Kathryn tells us:
"There were many cases, but they were never prosecuted: Young girls from Romania, Ukraine, Moldova and other Eastern European countries being brought in to service the UN and military bases as sex-slaves. The cases involved the officers from many foreign countries, including the USA, Pakistan, Germany, Romania, Ukraine, government contractors, and local organised criminals. The human rights investigators were never allowed to fully investigate, the suspects were immediately removed from the mission or transferred to other missions. The young women were simply sent back to their home countries."

Is The UN Really What We Were Told?
Although this goes beyond the scope of this post it is important for me to pose the question. When we look into the history, founding and major backers of the UN we are confronted with powerful interests whose reputations do not inspire trust.
I will do a future post on the history and manipulation of the UN but I want to briefly express my views. I believe that the UN was developed as a tool to control and manipulate the people of the world - not liberate them! The history of the founding of the League Of Nations and the subsequent United Nations were conceived and implemented by bankers and their actors. The land for the UN building in New York was gifted by John D. Rockefeller Jr..
That says it all!
Solutions To This Disgraceful Situation
This is where things get interesting. Powerful solutions to this horrendous problem are quite obvious and easy to implement. I think that some of the solutions I am outlining below would have an immediate impact but the fact that these logical safeguards are not implemented defies belief and hints at something much darker going on in the UN.
Although I believe these solutions could be effective I want to give full credit to Andrew MacLeod writing in the Independent newspaper for doing an excellent job at succinctly summarising these solutions in his article which you can read here.
Change the language. António Guterres has said: “I believe that we can dramatically improve how the United Nations addresses this scourge.” MacLeod is absolutely correct in saying that terms like "dramatically improve" are simply not good enough when we are talking about rape, pedophilia and human trafficking! He is also correct to point out that "sexual abuse" is the wrong term for the rape of a 14 year old girl near Bambari airport in Central African Republic by several UN peace keepers. The correct term can only be gang rape! 😢
Remove diplomatic immunity for any UN employee who is guilty of human trafficking, rape or child abuse.
Implement far more stringent checks on UN employees to try and reduce the number of pedophiles in the UN.
All allegations of misconduct by UN personal must be swiftly and transparently investigated. Those guilty need to suffer the very public consequences to deter other pedophiles.
DNA evidence should be use to match the children of women who are raped by UN staff. The perpetrators of these horrendous crimes must be very publicly punished for their actions. Compensation must be given to the victims.
Strong robust whistleblowing protocols should be implemented in the UN. Whistleblowers of this terrible abuse should be praised for their courage and not fired or adversely effected because they have the guts to do the right thing!
All of these are excellent points and the fact that we are not seeing them implemented tells us a lot about the UN. However I would now like to express my opinions. I am sure we all agree that those who purport to representing peace have absolutely no place abusing people. Abuse is not peace.
I am in complete agreement with MacLeod that the UN should be given 6 months to implement these most basic of strategies and if they do not no more funding should be given to them. I advise you to not donate any money to these sham agencies. Steemit provides us with many opportunities to do amazing things for those less fortunate than us!
I believe that anyone committing sexual abuse while working for the UN should face the most severe penalties for their actions. If the UN want to play the role of the world's police they need to be held accountable to the highest moral standards or be dissolved completely! What do you think?

When she refused to do so, and especially after her story about how female refugees in the camp were being sexually exploited was published, she was warned that she would never work for UNHCR again.
