We Do For Prisoners, Why Not For Our Workforce?

in #conspiracy7 years ago

We give our prisoners across the world three daily hot meals with their own bed, and a roof over their heads. Why can't we do the same for non-criminals who are willing to work 40-hours a week, contributing to their society?

Demand a livable wage, this November, by participating in a silent protest on a scale that has never been seen before.

Shouldn't the starting point be one with the ability to provide for oneself?

Just move to Cuba or North Korea, you'll get a living wage and a big prison. I used to live in Cuba for 25 years with less than $20 USD a month so that's more or less your value in the communist society you seek.

if i wasn't in a sling atm i'd hug u eagle. Was thinking the same thing after i read that intro!

Hug accepted Dexter. I understand these young idealistic leftists because I went through that stage as well, I mean who doesn't?
At some point he'll grow up and realize Government and Big Corporations collude to fuck the little guys up and he'll finally get it someday. Hope he doesn't get it when the rifles are pointing at him at the gulag shooting walls like most of them ended up in my country. I recommend you watch this video if you haven't already, very enlightening for the entitled rich american kids that believe state coercion will save them

I as well. Its easy to get sucked into, as you understand as good as I. Its not even as if I don't lean more left that right even to this day. Buy many young people have been brainwashed into this style of thinking. When they see all of their best intentions, laid wasted, by sociopaths who wind up taking power under these ideologies, its already too late to walk it back. Even something as benign as a "liveable wage," will be taken as a sign of an authoritarian required takeover, to manage, and subvert those who disagree to the Gulags.....

Why take things to the extreme? I am advocating for employers to take care of their employees. How does that translate to communism?

Employers don't care or should care about their employees, they should care about increasing efficiency and making money. A job is contract between employer/employee and the government must stay out of it to avoid creating damaging distortions on this market. If you are getting paid less than you deserve just quit, increase your value and look for other employers, or even better, create value for society on your own enterprise. Communism is a Road to Serdom, it's not a black or white thing, it has many shades. The fact that you are early on the Road to Sefdom as described by F. Hayek doesn't mean you a re not a communist, you are just early on the way, like most idealistic leftists are, they just don't realize Government and Big corporations collude to keep them ignorant and unable to compete. The more they whine about government intervening and protecting big monopolies, they worse off they will always be.

btw, this being filed under "conspiracy?" What gives? The rich always find ways to subvert those who do the actual work in society. How do you think they got rich? In communists societies the only ones that get rich are state actors. And they have a pretty good track record of "taking care," of employees......?

Yep, just what I always wanted...getting treated like a prisoner. How about going out and earning your way? You know, how the human race has been doing it since forever...

That is the point of the movement. To free us all up to just live. We pay for the difference in what these employers are willing to pay, versus what it costs to live either way. The federal minimum wage, when enacted, was $0.25/hour. At the time, 1938, that $0.25 could buy the equivalent of $20 in today's goods when the cost for those goods are taken into account from then to now.

I do realize that the cost of living is directly associated with the geographical location. I believe that the business owners need to take a pay cut instead of passing the cost of paying their entry-level employees a livable wage should be taken out of their pockets, and not passed back down to the consumer. If that breaks your business, then guess what? There is a cost for operating in the land of the free. You take less of a cut, so instead of raking in $100k, you rake in $90k to pay your employees a livable wage. Simple as that.

The businesses should do this willingly. Forget the government regulation, this should be standard business practice. Take care of your employees, they will take care of you. Every year that goes by, the quality dips because the disparity of wage versus cost of living gets wider and wider.

In fact, check this out, and compare the cost of any of these things with today's dollars. You will begin to see what I mean.

Cost of Goods 1938

"Harvard Tuition: $420 a year.

A gallon of gas: 10 cents.

Movie ticket: 25 cents

Postage stamp: 3 cents

Average income: $1,731 per year

House: $3,900"

Deep, I will be watching this unfold very closely. Peace and blessings

Nobody ever in the history of the human race, got paid "just to live". Everybody earns their way. You may not like how you have to do it, but you must. Time to grow up and be an adult.

Interesting narrative and video... i like the it.
