I like your general thesis of information becoming free but do not count out the herd mentality of men. That feature of human nature and the tendency to focus on danger (that's why FUD works so well) wont dissappear overnight. Men go nuts en masse but only regain their senses one by one.
Your post could use some formatting though to make it more attractive.
