I remember the time when rap music hadn't been appropriated by the consumerist agenda.

It's far removed from the original soul of hip-hop. Even the first iteration of gangster rap was addressing some struggle and resistance against the status quo, it was political.

JZ, 50 cent, I wouldn't piss on most of these guys albums if they were on fire 🤣
