Weapons
Warfare has changed over the centuries. Here are some of the weapons people have invented to defend themselves and attack others:
• Hand weapons are used for stabbing or hitting. They are the oldest group of weapons, and include clubs, swords and spears.
Catapults are early examples of shooting weapons. Guns and cannons came later. Modern versions include machine-guns, torpedoes and guided missiles.

• booby- traps weapons probably originated from animal-trapping methods. Modern booby-traps includes land mines that explode when touched.
