[#49375] my father has never laid a finger on my mother or me. My mother on the other hand would beat me regularly throughout my childhood, and frequently try to hit him. I am very thankful that he is as patient as he is, and that he has loved us enough to stay with her in spite of her rage meltdowns. Why do mothers have this expectation that they are good people? Like I see so many examples of fathers being abusive and mothers being these just paragons who do everything for the children. Like I have just never been able to relate to that narrative
