Hello steemians, Today I will share with you all my visit to the Foresight Nursery, Primary, and Secondary Schools. The school is located in Ikom Local Government Area of Cross River State, Nigeria. The school is situated at 21 Sweet Mother Street, 4 Corner Road, Ikom, an area location that is easily accessible to residents within and around the town. To be able to get this location, i.e the 245 Recce Battalion, you will take a motorcycle or cab and arrive in 35 to 40 minutes; this all depends on the level of traffic during your trip.

The school was established on September 5, 2005, which makes the school 21 years old. And for me, that's a long journey for the school, with the school providing quality education for students in different areas like art and science. The school has just had its 14th graduation celebration for the primary section and the 8th graduation celebration for the secondary section, which was held yesterday.

The school was created to provide residents with quality and affordable education, and over the years, I can confidently say the school is amongst the top three schools in Ikom Local Government Area. What gives me Joy is that my brother Jonathan is privileged to be a student of this great school. The school is well structured and organized, and not to forget that their slogan happens to be Educating the child, mind, body, and soul.

I was accompanying my brother to their 8th graduation celebration. Right at the entrance of the school were some teachers and a school security man who were making sure that all the pupils were in the right dress code for the celebration. And as I walked into the school, I noticed some good changes and new buildings as well. I got to find out that the school had now fenced their field and built a garage for their school buses. Back then, when I last came in 2023 there would just park the car right there, exposing it to sunlight and rainfall, but as you can see, there are motorcycles in the garage rather than the buses. This happened because it was the schools graduation celebration, and parents who brought they motorcycle who park them there, and the cars and buses were kept somewhere else.

As I walked into the school, I noticed that everything was in order and that the environment was kept clean. What I found interesting was the administrative block, where you will find the principal's office, the head of school's office, the accountant's office, and the proprietress's office, etc. I was really amazed by the building; it was painted in the school uniform of the Foresight Secondary learners. I am impressed with the school's knowledge of removing the building a new administrative block close to the entrance for easy accessibility.

As I slowly walked around the school past the Administrative Block, I looked carefully and saw that the school had a playing ground for the nursery and primary section to have fun during break time. The playing ground was really beautiful and organized. The playing ground had a trampoline and a multi-playground set. It was really good to see the playground look free from harmful objects, and especially in good condition, for learners to have a wonderful time.

The school environment was really beautiful, being surrounded by trees, grass, and a wonderful sidewalk. I was pleased to see this walkway clean and in order. The smile on the faces of the pupils as they wore their party attire was great to see; it was a day where they would celebrate their promotion into the next class in style.

The next area you will come across when visiting the school is the School Hall. The School Hall is a three-story building, but the main hall is on the first floor. Right here you will notice that there's a lot of space to accommodate the pupils, but this year the school had to keep a canopy behind the hall so that the students would stay behind while the parents and guardians stayed inside the hall. This happened to be the first time the Hall didn't accommodate the students, said my brother.

Inside the hall was a good seating arrangement, and wow, I was really amazed because the Hall was filled with chairs that were arranged in other of the celebration, with the SSS 3 graduating students to sit in front and the JSS 3 graduating into SSS I to sit behind them. The Hall was also filled with lights and a "Disco Light" in the front of the stage with a lot of "Air Conditioners" to keep the place at the right temperature for the occasion. The hall was also decorated with Yellow and Blue clothes, making the environment suitable for the celebration, and overall, the Hall is classy.

Without a doubt, I will say that the occasion was a blast, with my brother picking up the Best in English and Mathematics for the SSS 2 class. I was happy and pleased that he could also retain the position just like he did during the last graduation celebration; by the grace of God, he will be graduating next year.

I was also pleased to see my friend Faith graduating in style on this important day of her secondary school journey. When I spoke with her on our way back about her plans about going into the higher institution. She responded, saying that she would prefer to go to school in Enugu. She also said that nursing is her preferred course. All thanks to God, the graduation was a success.
