Overclock Core 2 Quad Q6600 with TAPE!
This does really work, it should work with every LGA 775 CPU (I was told it wont work with all chips, look at pinned comment for more details. ) . But it wont overclock all CPUs to 3Ghz. Only attempt this if you understand the risk that this could potentially harm your system Hope you enjoy :)
Instructions: Place 2 pieces of electrical tape over the first and third contact down from the notch on the left side (contacts facing you)
Works realy FSB runs with 333Mhz,
but if you want a better "performance" on LGA 775,
first you should overclock the Front Side Bus alone,
WITHOUT overclocking the CPU.
FSB 400 on the most mainboards run.
Fix the Clockspeed of the CPU to 2,4 Ghz for energie saving.
Overclock your RAM, for better Timings should be worth, too.
I play and work better and stable with this undervalued settings.
