Computer Observation: Mouse Not Working?
Being in the IT department you'd hear some very interesting stories, especially from our more experienced colleagues, so I thought I'd share this one with you.
This was a few years ago where companies were starting to replace paper systems with computers, my manager was working as a IT support at that time and had gotten a phone from an elderly lady who seemed very stressed and a bit annoyed due to the operation of her new computer system.
So here is the conversation over the phone:
Lady: "I can't get this program to open."
Manager: "It's ok, just move your mouse over to the icon on your desktop and double click on it."
Lady: "It's not working, I'm double clicking on it."
Manager: "Is your mouse on the icon when you double click on it?"
Lady: "Yea, it's on the icon but nothing is happening!"
Manager: "Alright, let me go down and have a look for you."
My manager heads down stair to see what she was doing, on the way he wondered if maybe her computer froze or maybe she wasn’t used to using the mouse to click stuff, but he was not prepared to from what he was about to see.
As he approaches he saw something very strange, he saw the lady lifting the physical mouse itself, and placing it onto the physical computer monitor trying to double click on the icon on the screen…
Well… He was not wrong about her using the mouse incorrectly, that was a classic case of user error…

Are you not seeing the hyperlinks on the images linking to the original source?
Oh! I apologize! Normally there's some sort of hyperlink attached to it. Typically when people use images and it has a hyperlink box it only enlarges the photo. I just clicked on yours though and it took me to the source which I've never seen before so thank you for responding. I'll be sure to click on the images from now on :)
